LINDEN, San Joaquin County — Linden residents have a branch library whose roots predate many modern public services. The Stockton–San Joaquin County Public Library system says the Linden Branch began in 1883 as an Oddfellows Public Library.
Current location and opening times
According to the official Linden Branch page, the library is located at 19059 East Main Street, Linden, CA 95236. Its listed schedule is Monday noon–5 p.m., Tuesday 2–7 p.m., Wednesday 1–6 p.m., Thursday noon–5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.–3 p.m. It is closed Sunday.
These are posted regular hours rather than a guarantee about holiday or emergency closures. The library number is 209-887-3280.
More than borrowing books
The branch lists free Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi printing, four public computers with Microsoft Word, a scanner, copier and fax service. A book return is available outside the building around the clock, though Link+ items must be returned to staff during open hours.
Where to park and find programs
The library says free parking is available beside the building, accessible from Main Street and East Front Street. Its event calendar lists branch programs by date. Families should check the current month before arriving for storytime or crafts because schedules change.
For a rural community, the branch is both a reading resource and a place to use digital services without having to drive to Stockton. Residents can follow local events and any library board proposals through the official library network.
