OCCIDENTAL, Sonoma County — The community library on Main Street is a small but practical hub in western Sonoma County, offering printed materials, computer-based services and help from library staff.
Where and when?
Sonoma County Library’s official branch listing places the Occidental Community Library at 73 Main Street, Occidental, CA 95465. Regular hours are Monday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; Tuesday 1–5 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; Thursday 1–5 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Call 707-874-3080 to confirm holiday closures or special programs.
Printing can save a separate trip
The library’s webpage says residents can use computer-based printing or submit a document with the library’s ePrinting service. It describes an allowance of up to $5 of free printing or copying per day per person with a library card. Beyond the allowance, the website lists per-page fees. Exact prices and eligibility should be checked before making a large print job.
How the community branch fits the region
Occidental’s branch is part of the wider Sonoma County Library system. It offers the functions of a network library while maintaining shorter hours than a regional branch in Santa Rosa or Sebastopol. Residents can use the county locations list to identify other branches when Main Street is closed.
This is a guide to a continuing public service, not an announcement of a new library opening. Residents who know of local lectures, reading programs or public meetings can use the branch’s official channel to verify dates before sharing.
