San Benito County has fewer large Halloween festivals than the coastal counties, but families can still plan meaningful local fall outings. A verified free YMCA celebration in Hollister pairs with a long-running pumpkin attraction at Casa de Fruta on Pacheco Pass.

How to plan the day

Use Hollister as the base for an October 23 evening celebration. Casa de Fruta is a roadside attraction along Pacheco Pass, not the same location as downtown Hollister. Because event selection is limited, we do not claim this county has a top 15 of confirmed Halloween festivals.

Safety and tickets

Check reservations, age restrictions, weather and fees, and supervise children around roads, traffic and unfamiliar venues. A fall-themed destination is not necessarily a Halloween candy event.
