Sponsored education feature | UrNamu
Interested in earning money with a drone, preparing for a U.S. remote pilot certificate, or simply learning how aviation rules work? UrNamu offers an online FAA Part 107 exam preparation course for $39 one time. Study from anywhere, on your schedule. Explore the $39 UrNamu course.
What is FAA Part 107?
Part 107 is the Federal Aviation Administration’s framework for many civil small-drone operations in the United States, including commercial work. For qualifying operations under these rules, a person acting as remote pilot in command needs an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate. The FAA—not a training school—issues that certificate. A paid preparation course is optional; the official FAA knowledge test and certification steps are separate.
Who might benefit?
Drone photography and video creators, real estate marketing teams, construction documentation businesses, roof and infrastructure inspection professionals, agricultural operators, tourism media producers, and people exploring future drone services may all benefit from learning aviation basics. Having a certificate does not automatically authorize every kind of operation, guarantee a job or income, or replace airspace approvals and other applicable rules.
What does the UrNamu course cover?
UrNamu’s advertised self-paced training includes 12 lessons, four aviation chart practice labs, and two mock exams of 60 questions each. Topics include airspace, sectional charts, weather, operational limitations, safe decision-making, regulations, and steps toward the official FAA knowledge test. Practice material is designed for learning; its questions are not represented as actual confidential FAA exam questions. The course also offers learning support in multiple languages, but the official FAA certification process requires English proficiency.
How to become an FAA-certified remote pilot
- Check FAA eligibility: generally at least 16 years old, able to read, speak, write and understand English, and fit to operate safely.
- Create an IACRA account and obtain your FAA Tracking Number (FTN).
- Schedule and pass the official UAG aeronautical knowledge exam at an FAA-approved testing center.
- Complete the FAA application in IACRA and the required security vetting.
- Receive your FAA-issued certificate, then follow ongoing recency and operational requirements.
FAA test-center fees are separate from the $39 UrNamu training price. Passing the practice tests or completing this course does not grant FAA certification. Some existing Part 61 pilots may follow a different FAA training pathway. Official steps: FAA guide to becoming a certificated remote pilot.
Can students enroll outside California?
Yes. Because the UrNamu course is delivered online, it can be studied from across the United States and U.S. territories, subject to normal internet and payment access. People abroad who are curious about drone aviation can also study the material. However, Part 107 is a U.S. regulatory framework; taking this course does not give a person permission to operate drones in another country, and FAA exam appointments and certificate eligibility have separate requirements.
Why $39?
UrNamu positions this course as a low-cost, one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription. At $39, it may be an accessible way to structure your preparation. Pricing and features should be checked at checkout; no claim is made here that it is the cheapest course in the entire market.
