SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — November 4, 2026, 4:51 p.m. Pacific reporting snapshot. Election officials have reported 113,837 counted ballots in Solano County, representing approximately 41% of registered voters, while an estimated 40,000 ballots remain to be processed, according to The Vallejo Sun’s November 4 results report. The local newsroom said 89,672 of the counted ballots were mail ballots and that the county expected to report further results on Thursday, November 5.
What the pending number actually means
The 40,000 figure is an approximate countywide estimate at that point in time, not the number of uncounted ballots in any one mayoral, council or school-board race. The estimate can change as additional eligible mail ballots arrive and are verified. It should not be used to infer the outcome of a close individual contest.
Races still in the spotlight
Solano residents are following city council and school board elections in Vallejo and Benicia, together with city elections in Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville, Dixon and Rio Vista and various countywide ballot measures. Some election-night reports show wide leads; others concern close races whose results may change after subsequent releases. See California58’s Benicia City Council and Fairfield mayor and municipal measures articles, both explicitly marked with their source snapshots.
When the next results will appear
The Solano County Registrar of Voters’ current-election page maintains links to its official unofficial-results releases, ballot-processing notices and candidate information. The next reported update is expected Thursday, November 5; the precise time should be taken from the elections office’s announcements, not guessed.
