SIERRA COUNTY, Calif. — November 4, 2026, 3:38 p.m. Pacific results. The Sierra County Board of Supervisors District 2 race remains unsettled in the county’s newest published unofficial count. Bryan Davey has 154 votes (54.80%) and Sonya Z. Meline has 127 (45.20%), a margin of just 27 votes, according to the Sierra County election office’s cumulative report generated Wednesday, November 4 at 3:38 p.m. This is an unofficial result, not a declaration of an elected supervisor.

What the supervisor count shows

The county report lists 281 votes cast for the two candidates, 12 undervotes and no overvotes in this contest. The number of votes in the district race is not the same as the countywide turnout total. A close margin means further eligible ballots could affect the final tally; the county has not certified this result.

Countywide ballots and turnout

Across Sierra County, the report lists 1,475 ballots processed out of 2,164 registered voters, or 68.16%, and 19 of 19 precincts reporting. That figure is specific to the November 4 release. Precinct reporting at 100% does not establish that every eligible mail, provisional or reviewed ballot has been included in the canvass. The report includes only votes tabulated as of its timestamp.

What rural residents should watch

The Board of Supervisors makes county-level decisions affecting local public services, infrastructure, budgeting and emergency preparedness. Residents in Sierra County’s unincorporated communities should follow the supervisor count and verify their own district rather than assuming the District 2 contest covers every place in the county. The district figures are not a countywide popularity measure.

For official updates, consult the Sierra County Clerk-Recorder/Elections results page, which links directly to the latest available cumulative report. The county’s all-mail voting system means ballot processing can continue beyond election night.
