Two segments to watch

Caltrans has scheduled intermittent one-way traffic controls between Potato Slough and Crop Road and between Guard Road and Interstate 5. The reported work window is 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., when traffic may be stopped temporarily as crews manage the roadway.

Why this matters to rural drivers

Delta roads often connect small communities, farms, waterways and commuter routes with limited alternatives. Late-night lane controls can affect delivery schedules and people driving to work before dawn. Caltrans advises allowing five to ten minutes of extra travel time, although actual delays may vary.

What is not closed

The advisory describes one-way traffic control, not a continuous, complete closure of all SR-12 lanes for several days. Restrictions will occur intermittently as necessary.
