Updated October 19, 2026. California58 Civic Watch connects residents across California’s 58 counties to official public-government meeting resources. This directory links to county boards of supervisors and their meeting or clerk portals—not to unofficial summaries or copied agendas.
If your town has no city council, your county board is often the first place to follow county decisions, but schools, water, fire, planning and other special districts can govern different services. The nearest city is not necessarily the responsible government.
How to use this directory: Find your county, open its official meeting resource, and select the latest agenda. Confirm times, public-comment rules, amended agendas and final actions directly with the agency. An agenda describes planned business; it does not prove an item passed. Some links lead to official board or clerk homepages that provide the current agenda from there.

City government meetings inside local newspaper areas
Local-city tier: These municipal councils and commissions are separate from county boards of supervisors. The links below are tied to the actual named city. Where a newspaper covers an unincorporated community, we do not invent a neighboring city’s authority.

Automatic official feeds: Ridgecrest, Nevada City, Yreka and Tehachapi publish official RSS feeds for council or planning documents. The California58 newspaper-level automatic importer is being prepared in the new theme and is not yet active on this public page. Until it is launched, use each agency’s live page or RSS service to see the latest changes.
Ridgecrest City Council — live official agenda RSS
The items below are retrieved from the city’s own RSS feed by WordPress. The displayed feed date refers to publication, not necessarily the meeting date. Confirm the meeting time and final agenda on the official City Council Agenda Center.
City governments and communities without city councils
Ridgecrest: City Council official agendas and minutes ↗. Residents should also follow Kern County board records where county jurisdiction applies.
Trona and Searles Valley: Start with San Bernardino County official Board of Supervisors Legistar portal ↗. Ridgecrest is a separate municipality in another county and is not Trona’s city council.
Other unincorporated areas: Use the relevant county’s official calendar and verify which school district, utility district, fire agency and land-use authority actually serves your address. Boundaries can differ from county and city lines.
Transparency about updates
This is a verified source directory, not yet an automatic feed of every public meeting. California58 has not verified the dates of all upcoming meetings or every special district. Until automated source ingestion passes testing, the live agendas and signed decisions remain on the agencies’ websites. We will continue expanding community-level jurisdictions and checking links.
Read California58’s local newspaper network to find your community, follow local public affairs, and share corrections or a missing official public-meeting source with the newsroom.
