California58 is an independent California information and media project founded and directed by Vitaly Ataev-Troshin.
Ownership and editorial control
California58 is independently operated and is not owned or controlled by the State of California, a government agency, a political campaign, a political action committee or a lobbying organization.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are kept separate from advertising, sponsorships and affiliated commercial services. Paid placements and affiliated resources are labeled so users can distinguish them from independent reporting and public-service information.
Affiliated projects and services
California58 may feature clearly labeled affiliated services and projects, including LINKERNO, OptionTrip, TaxesTime and LegalDocSVC, when they are relevant to users. Their commercial relationship does not determine California58 editorial conclusions.
Corrections and standards
California58 maintains separate public pages describing its editorial standards, sources and corrections practices. Material changes to ownership or editorial control should be reflected on this page.
