COLUSA COUNTY, California — October 30, 2026. Colusa County’s confirmed organized trick-or-treat and costume activities are concentrated before October 31, rather than at a large Saturday county fair. A verified weekend guide needs to say so openly instead of inventing a festival for Saturday.

Saturday, October 31: events and important date distinctions

Williams Trunk or Treat — Thursday, not Halloween Saturday

When: Thursday, Oct. 29, 4–7 p.m. (already past). Where: Venice Park, Williams.

The City of Williams event is clearly dated Thursday in the local paper’s October 23 community calendar. Do not travel to this park expecting it to happen Saturday. Original listing or organizer.

Maxwell parish fall bazaar — Sunday

When: Sunday, Nov. 1, 4:30–7:30 p.m.. Where: American Legion Hall, 250 Oak Street, Maxwell.

Sacred Heart Parish advertises a turkey dinner, raffle and other fundraising activities. Dinner: $20 adults, $5 for children 4–10, free for younger children. Original listing or organizer.

How to organize a realistic day

For Saturday, choose a family neighborhood candy route near home; no countywide public October 31 parade with confirmed organizer and hours was found in the checked county calendar. The earlier Colusa Fairgrounds Trunk or Treat was Saturday October 24, not October 31. For a documented Sunday outing consider the Maxwell fundraiser.

What else to know for the weekend

The county calendar includes mobile ballot pickup at the Maxwell Library October 31; that is an election service, not a Halloween event. We deliberately do not list it as seasonal entertainment.

Public-safety and accuracy reminders

Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Date-specific source calendars are linked above. Programs may move because of rain, public safety, organizer decisions, limited capacity or staffing. Check actual venue and ticket pages again immediately before leaving, and do not assume the hours of an earlier year’s event. Some cultural remembrance programs occur on Sunday, November 1 and should be described distinctly from Halloween. Use sidewalks, crosswalks and supervised treat routes.
