Top 5 Riverside County Family Halloween Events in 2026. Riverside County’s Halloween experiences look different in the desert. Palm trees and mountain views replace autumn forest colors, and many of the most approachable events come from zoos, museums and city-run celebrations around Greater Palm Springs. The county is geographically huge, so we focus on confirmed 2026 events in the Coachella Valley rather than pretend they represent all of its cities.

Make a realistic family itinerary

All five of these confirmed events are in the Coachella Valley, not central Riverside or Temecula. A trip from western Riverside County is substantial and requires planning. Choose outdoor activities earlier in the day, stay hydrated and check weather.

Check costumes, accessibility, age limits, refunds, parking and weather-related closures before booking. Some options are community events while others are paid attractions; ticket availability can change quickly.
