Angels Camp hosts one confirmed two-day costumed celebration during Halloween season 2026. Elsewhere in Calaveras County, historic towns make enjoyable autumn excursions, but we do not label ordinary sightseeing as a confirmed trick-or-treat program.

Updated October 11, 2026. Confirm schedules, accessibility and admission with organizers. Some October events below already took place; they are identified as such.

4 Halloween and fall outings in Calaveras County

1. All Hallows Faire

Where: Calaveras County Fairgrounds, Angels Camp
Date: October 24–25, 2026
Time: Weekend festival; check tickets for precise opening times

Costumed festival with fantasy and historical themes, vendors and competitions. Children 12 and younger have costume-contest categories; no real weapons, and event has special bag/stroller checks. Entry and parking costs should be checked with the organizer. Check organizer or official event details.

2. Historic Angels Camp autumn walk

Where: Main Street, Angels Camp
Date: Any suitable autumn day
Time: Business-specific hours

Family sightseeing around the Gold Rush history of Angels Camp. This is not a confirmed 2026 Halloween candy event. Check organizer or official event details.

3. Murphys historic downtown

Where: Main Street, Murphys
Date: October seasonal trip
Time: Shop-specific hours

A historic village that can be visited as part of a fall Gold Country itinerary. Check the local events calendar before expecting costumed activities. Check organizer or official event details.

4. Calaveras Big Trees State Park

Where: Arnold area
Date: Autumn days when park is open
Time: Park hours vary

A nature stop among giant sequoias; watch weather, trail conditions and fees. Not a Halloween event. Check organizer or official event details.

How to plan the day

For an actual Halloween-themed outing, prioritize All Hallows Faire on October 24–25. For quieter children, the giant sequoias and historic downtowns are good daytime alternatives without haunted-house scares. The fairgrounds festival may include loud music and staged combat, so review age suitability first.

Safety and tickets

Check reservations, age restrictions, weather and fees, and supervise children around roads, traffic and unfamiliar venues. A fall-themed destination is not necessarily a Halloween candy event.
