SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — November 4, 2026. Voters in the Chino Valley Independent Fire District’s Board of Directors Division 3 are deciding a single board seat. The county registrar’s final unofficial election-night report lists Tom Haughey with 4,192 votes (73.02%) and Loring Williams with 1,544 (26.89%).

Why a fire-district election is separate from city races

A special district’s governing board is responsible for oversight of the district’s services and policies. Its election boundaries do not necessarily mirror any single municipal council district. Therefore, the results here are identified by Chino Valley Independent Fire District Division 3, not reported as a citywide election in either Chino or Chino Hills.

San Bernardino County’s report lists 34 of 34 precincts reporting, with 6,755 ballots cast out of 20,403 registered voters. The candidate vote totals may not equal ballots cast because some voters did not cast a vote in this contest.

Although Haughey leads by 2,648 votes in this snapshot, official canvassing and certification have not been completed. The next county results update is scheduled for November 5 by 6 p.m.
