CANVASS UPDATE — NOVEMBER 5. Imperial County’s November 4 Registrar statement estimates 17,000 ballots awaiting processing and an additional 225 challenged ballot envelopes. The county plans to post further result updates at 5 p.m. every weeknight. These unprocessed ballots are countywide, not exclusively from supervisor District 1 or 5, so the 174-vote District 5 lead in the previous report below should not be treated as a prediction or official result. Read California58’s full Imperial canvass explainer and the official election website. The results below remain clearly time-stamped November 4 snapshots.

The 1:07 a.m. figures below are retained as a historical snapshot. Official Imperial County election results, website updated November 4, 2026 at 5:07:35 p.m.

EARLIER 1:07 A.M. REPORT — HISTORICAL SNAPSHOT.

IMPERIAL COUNTY, California — November 4, 2026. The official election-night update shows leads for Enrique “Kiki” Alvarado and Patricia “Patty” Lizarraga in the county’s two supervisorial races. Voters across Imperial County also gave a preliminary majority to Measure S, a public-safety sales and use tax initiative. No result has been certified.

Supervisor District 1

The Imperial County Registrar of Voters, updated at 1:07 a.m. Pacific, lists Enrique “Kiki” Alvarado with 2,163 votes (63.04%) and Jesus Eduardo Escobar with 1,268 (36.96%). The district supervisorial seat is distinct from individual city council elections.

Supervisor District 5

Patricia “Patty” Lizarraga has 1,684 votes (52.12%) against 1,547 (47.88%) for John Hawk. This is a 137-vote lead in the overnight report. The number may change if additional eligible ballots are processed.

Measure S: public safety sales and use tax

The countywide Measure S tally stands at 10,120 yes (56.72%) and 7,722 no (43.28%). The measure is described by the registrar as a public-safety sales and use tax initiative. It is not the same as Calexico Measure O or El Centro Measure T, which apply to separate city electorates and have different ballot texts.

Measure N: healthcare

A separate healthcare-related Measure N has 9,917 yes (55.72%) and 7,882 no (44.28%) in the same county report. The specific legal effects and adoption thresholds must be checked against each measure’s official text; a simple numerical majority does not by itself establish certification or passage.

What the Board of Supervisors does

County supervisors govern services for unincorporated territories, including public health, social support, regional infrastructure and aspects of emergency response. People living outside a city — including parts of the Imperial and Salton valleys — may have a county supervisor and special-district directors without a city mayor.

All numbers are sourced to the Imperial County unofficial election-night dashboard, updated November 4 at 1:07 a.m. Pacific. Later results may alter rankings and support shares.
