BEL MARIN KEYS, Marin County — November 4, 2026. A community services district election is underway in Bel Marin Keys, an area without a separate elected municipal mayor. The early board tally put Kevin Dugan and Steven Nash in the first two places for two available director seats.
Initial returns
According to KQED’s Marin County election dashboard, updated 11:13 p.m. Pacific, November 3, Kevin Dugan had 369 candidate votes (43.8%), Steven Nash had 359 (42.6%), and Vincent P. Lattanzio had 113 (13.4%). Dugan and Nash were separated by just 10 votes in their rankings; the gap between second and third was larger.
Why this is a local election
Community services district boards govern specific services and infrastructure within their defined boundaries. Such districts are different from city councils and from the Marin County Board of Supervisors. Their votes matter to residents even if no separate mayoral election takes place in the community.
These totals represent candidate selections for two board seats, not percentages of all eligible voters. The count remains preliminary and can change with additional ballots. Marin County Elections will complete the canvass and certify the winners.
