SACRAMENTO COUNTY, California — November 4, 2026. Natomas Unified School District Trustee Area 4 voters are selecting one school board member from four named candidates. Leng Lai leads a divided field in Sacramento County’s semi-final results.
Unofficial Area 4 totals
The county’s report at 1:25 a.m. Pacific on November 4 shows Leng Lai — 705 votes (33.67%); Krystal King — 503 (24.02%); Jenn Souza — 480 (22.92%); and Amir Khan — 406 (19.39%), plus two write-in selections. Lai’s reported lead over King is 202 votes.
Only 2,447 ballots were listed as cast among 10,192 registered voters in this trustee-area contest, for an election-night participation figure of 24.01%. These numbers will change as valid outstanding ballots are processed.
Do not confuse Area 4 with Area 1
Natomas Unified also held a separate Trustee Area 1 vote, where Jeremy Greene led Neil Pople in the same county report. These are separate board seats, and their candidate percentages cannot be compared as though they were one citywide election.
Next election updates
The district board oversees local public-school governance. The Sacramento County Registrar will continue the post-election canvass; the next county results release is scheduled for November 6 by 4:15 p.m. Pacific. These are preliminary leaders, not certified winners.
