TRINITY COUNTY — November 6, 2026. Voters in Trinity County’s part of the Shasta–Tehama–Trinity Joint Community College District expressed a preliminary local preference for Measure C, a proposed college facilities bond. Trinity’s official November 3 election-night report lists 1,349 Yes votes (53.38%) and 1,178 No (46.62%), a 171-vote Yes lead within Trinity County. The result is not the complete multi-county college district’s outcome.
One college district reaches across county lines
Shasta College’s district spans portions of Shasta, Tehama and Trinity counties. To determine whether Measure C passed, legally eligible selections from the entire district must be counted and evaluated against the applicable school-bond threshold. Reporting Trinity’s 53.38% as the final districtwide percentage would omit other counties and could reverse the appearance of public support.
What the borrowing proposal concerns
The bond question seeks authority to finance eligible college facilities, renovations, modernization and related improvements under public borrowing rules. The Trinity County election site links the college’s measure resolution and proponent argument. The legal resolution and fiscal analysis are the sources for the bond ceiling, property-tax projections and oversight requirements, rather than inference from the percentage of Yes votes.
The difference between Yes majority and passage
A reported Yes share above 50% is not sufficient by itself to say a school bond passed when an elevated legal approval requirement may apply. The existing regional California58 Measure C report describes the wider multi-county tally, while this article preserves the Trinity-only 1,349-to-1,178 snapshot. The two reports have different geographic denominators and reporting times.

Check the registrar’s current-election page for any later updates. This publication makes no final claim about bond adoption or defeat.
