How to plan the day

Sonora and Columbia are close enough to combine on October 24, but leave enough time for parking and children’s activities. Book any rail tickets early. The 2026 Halloween Town in Jamestown is on October 31, so it can be the primary holiday-night option.

Safety and tickets

Check reservations, age restrictions, weather and fees, and supervise children around roads, traffic and unfamiliar venues. A fall-themed destination is not necessarily a Halloween candy event.
