In the Imperial Valley, community parks are a useful place to look for family Halloween events. The City of Imperial confirms an October 30 Trunk or Treat, while additional activities in El Centro and Brawley should not be presented as confirmed until official 2026 announcements are available.

Updated October 11, 2026. Confirm schedules, accessibility and admission with organizers. Some October events below already took place; they are identified as such.

1 Halloween and fall outings in Imperial County

1. City of Imperial Trunk or Treat

Where: City park location to be confirmed by Imperial Parks and Recreation
Date: Friday, October 30, 2026
Time: See city event update

Officially listed Halloween gathering with decorated vehicles, candy, live entertainment, food vendors and activities for children. The city site confirms the date but not all venue details on the event page; check before traveling. Check organizer or official event details.

How to plan the day

For families with young children, plan to attend the city-organized event once its park location and hours are published. Imperial Valley can remain warm in October: carry water and sun protection if attending before sunset. Check community notices for El Centro, Brawley, Calexico and Holtville, but do not assume an event is scheduled merely because it ran in prior years.

Safety and tickets

Check reservations, age restrictions, weather and fees, and supervise children around roads, traffic and unfamiliar venues. A fall-themed destination is not necessarily a Halloween candy event.
