SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — November 4, 2026. Residents preparing for Thanksgiving on November 26 can locate food assistance through Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino, which works with partner food pantries and community organizations throughout the Inland Empire. For people living in remote desert communities, confirming the nearest distribution site before making a long drive is especially important.

Where to start

The organization’s Get Help page offers a pantry finder and a calendar for monthly distributions. It also provides resources on senior food programs and applying for CalFresh. According to the organization, distribution sites operate free of charge and serve the public, but dates and times differ by location.

Check before traveling

Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino says schedules may vary and encourages visitors to call ahead. Households in the High Desert, mountain communities and the eastern county should confirm distance, service area, pickup requirements and any holiday-specific changes with the selected program. The site does not establish one guaranteed Thanksgiving dinner or pickup time for every community.

Other assistance and travel resources

California Food Banks provides a statewide Find Food directory that also points to CalFresh and 211 where available. If travel involves state highways, consult Caltrans for updated road conditions before departure.
