MARIN COUNTY — October 26, 2026. Residents are being invited to help shape Marin County’s first comprehensive countywide strategic plan in more than 25 years. The Envision Marin public workshop series begins November 12 and includes seven in-person or virtual sessions into early December.
Where and when to participate
The county lists an opening workshop at Marin Art & Garden Center, Ross, November 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by two sessions in San Rafael on November 14 — a morning meeting at the County Civic Center and an afternoon Spanish-language workshop at Marin Health & Wellness Campus. A Novato session is scheduled November 16 at Marin Humane, and a Mill Valley session December 1 at the Community Center.
Additional virtual meetings are planned on December 2 in Spanish and December 5 in English. Online joining details for some sessions will be announced separately. The county says all sessions are open to people who live, work, learn or operate a business in Marin; residents need not travel to the session closest to their home.
What input can affect
Participants will discuss community services, local opportunities, barriers, infrastructure and priorities over the next five to ten years. Their feedback will inform a draft countywide strategy. A workshop is not a vote on a completed plan, and the county has not promised that every proposed idea will receive funding.
Registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome at in-person events; some sessions may offer childcare and accessibility support. Use the county’s Envision Marin participation portal for links and changes.
