AMADOR COUNTY, California — Friday, October 30, 2026. For Halloween on Saturday, October 31, Amador County has a traditional children’s parade in Jackson plus smaller daytime and evening outings. County events are spread between towns along Highway 49, so it helps to choose by age group and set out before parking fills up.

A practical Saturday itinerary

Families can spend early afternoon at the shopping-center program and then head toward historic Jackson’s costume parade; confirm the parade lineup and street closure locally before taking small children. The later Drytown show is a separate outing and should not be advertised as a free children’s event. Roads between communities can be dark, so avoid rushing to multiple venues.

Another local consideration

Regional listings also identify a haunted-house fundraiser in downtown Jackson with a gentler early session and scarier later program. Confirm admission and age suitability with the host. Verify details here.

Before you leave

Schedules may change because of weather, staffing, capacity or other restrictions. Check the linked organizer’s current announcement, admission policies and any street closures before traveling. Children should carry emergency contact details; families should remain together in crowds and use marked crossings. A listed Día de Muertos observance is a remembrance tradition with its own cultural meaning, not simply another Halloween costume party.
