DEVORE / SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — October 26, 2026. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is advertising another session of its Lady Be Aware personal safety course for Saturday, November 14. County Supervisor Dawn Rowe’s office highlighted the upcoming session in its October 26 community-news listing.

Course content and participation rules

The county describes an eight-hour program at the Sheriff’s Training Center, 18901 Institution Road in Devore. It includes four hours of classroom instruction on situational awareness, home safety, cybersecurity and risk avoidance, followed by two hours of weaponless personal-defense training and two hours of shooting and firearm-safety instruction led by certified instructors.

The published fee is $75 per participant, with a minimum age of 16 years. Residents should ask organizers about participation conditions, safety equipment, supervision for minors and available places before paying or traveling. An advertised class is not the same as a free sheriff-sponsored safety demonstration.

The course’s original dates also included October 17 and October 24, which are already in the past; November 14 is the remaining listed upcoming session.
