CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL ELECTIONS — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. The Solano County Board of Education Trustee Area 6 contest gives Kathryn Kedarisetty 8,727 votes (55.8%) and Tamika Hamilton 6,923 (44.2%) in the latest accessible county tally. The early reported difference is 1,804 votes, not a certified outcome.

What the office or ballot question means

A county Board of Education and an individual school district board serve different functions. County education board members oversee certain county office of education matters and participate in appeal and administrative functions established by California law; they do not automatically control the budgets of every school district in Solano. Parents and educators should identify the appropriate public agency for their concerns.

How to read the reported votes

This is a trustee-area race, not a countywide election for every voter. The sum of the reported candidate votes, 15,650, describes this contest alone and cannot be used as total county voter turnout. Its early 55.8% share is a fraction of valid choices in Area 6, not a census of residents’ policy preferences.

Other nearby election coverage

The election also includes a Solano Community College Area 4 board election and city council seats. Their districts, voters and governing responsibilities are not interchangeable.

Sources, timing and certification

All candidate and measure totals in this report come from the Solano County local-election results published by KQED, dated November 4, 2026 at 7:40 p.m. Pacific. The county is still required to validate additional eligible mail and provisional ballots and conduct the statutory canvass. The county’s Registrar of Voters is the source for subsequent official updates. County results are due under California law in early December; the Secretary of State’s statewide certification is scheduled for December 11. The newsroom does not declare a certified winner or enacted tax from an election-night total.
