CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL ELECTIONS — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. The November 3 election for Solano County Board of Supervisors District 4 has a reported lead for Michael “Mike” Silva with 12,212 votes (55.1%) over John Carli with 9,962 (44.9%). The numerical difference is 2,250 votes in the county’s November 4 evening results; certification remains pending.
What the office or ballot question means
County supervisors oversee the county government’s budget, public services and many functions in unincorporated areas, and participate in county-level policy decisions. Their responsibilities differ from those of city mayors or council members. District 4 represents a geographical subset of the county, so its candidate vote total does not describe preferences throughout Solano or every municipality.
How to read the reported votes
Different offices on a ballot can have separate valid-vote totals. The 22,174 combined selections for Silva and Carli are not proof of completed county turnout. Further valid vote-by-mail and provisional ballots may be added, but the countywide backlog does not establish how many remaining voters are eligible to choose the District 4 supervisor.
Other nearby election coverage
Residents following county services may also be interested in the separate Measure H lodging tax and Measure E business taxes. Those are countywide ballot measures, not votes for a supervisor.
Sources, timing and certification
All candidate and measure totals in this report come from the Solano County local-election results published by KQED, dated November 4, 2026 at 7:40 p.m. Pacific. The county is still required to validate additional eligible mail and provisional ballots and conduct the statutory canvass. The county’s Registrar of Voters is the source for subsequent official updates. County results are due under California law in early December; the Secretary of State’s statewide certification is scheduled for December 11. The newsroom does not declare a certified winner or enacted tax from an election-night total.
