SOUTH PLACER, California — November 4, 2026. Measure B shows 6,310 Yes votes and 5,626 No votes in Placer County’s semi-official election-night report. The measure’s actual approval standard matters, and the count is not certified.

Votes and legal threshold

Yes: 6,310 (52.87%). No: 5,626 (47.13%). The difference is 684 votes. The official ballot identifies the adoption threshold as two-thirds (approximately 66.67%) Yes.

What the proposal would change

The proposal would replace specified existing parcel taxes and an assessment with an annual $375 levy on single-family parcels and schedules for other parcels. The fire district estimated $5.75 million annually for operations including reopening fire stations and emergency response. These are projected revenues, not collections.

What remains unresolved

Despite more Yes than No votes, the early percentage does not meet the two-thirds requirement. The district result is not certified. The Placer report was printed November 4, 2026, 12:16 a.m. Pacific. It covers election-night precinct returns but not necessarily every eligible ballot. This article is a dated record of the county’s early results, not a newly confirmed November 5 posting.
