SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. Residents visiting participating county libraries can donate new, unwrapped toys through Tuesday, December 8 for Children’s Fund’s annual Celebration of Giving. The seasonal drive supports children and young people facing difficult circumstances, including poverty, housing instability and foster-care placement.
Where can donations be left?
Collection boxes will be available at participating San Bernardino County Library branches in High Desert, mountain and valley communities. The county specifically says three joint-use branches are not participating: Summit Branch Library, Kaiser Branch Library and Cal Aero Preserve Academy Branch Library. Readers should check the library location directory and opening hours before bringing donations.
What is accepted?
The library requests new, unwrapped toys, rather than used toys or previously wrapped gifts. Donations delivered by December 8 allow time for library staff to collect and send the items to Children’s Fund for distribution.
Other ways to contribute
Residents unable to reach a library may use the organization’s online giving options or ship gifts directly to Children’s Fund, 348 W. Hospitality Lane, Suite 110, San Bernardino, CA 92408, according to the county. Monetary contributions and wishlists are separate from the physical library drop-box program, and donors should use the official organization website.
