LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Los Angeles County — 2026 election update. Two countywide charter amendments have substantial Yes majorities in the latest available Los Angeles County returns.

Reported results

On Measure A, the reported count is 1,262,480 Yes (64.19%) and 704,213 No (35.81%). On Measure E, the count is 1,424,094 Yes (73.30%) and 518,850 No (26.70%).

What voters decided

Measure A would establish binding arbitration in specified labor disputes involving county public-safety employee organizations after bargaining impasses. Measure E addresses the independence and framework of the county Ethics Commission and continues county provisions concerning community investment and alternatives to incarceration. They are separate countywide votes, not measures for the city of Los Angeles alone. The ballot counts remain provisional. Neither a media-reported lead nor a county charter proposal becomes an officially certified result during the canvass.

Reporting and verification

These numbers are from the November 2026 live election results listing available following the November 3 vote.
