California58 Media Production & Events helps businesses, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and public agencies in California, across the United States and internationally communicate through photo, video, audio, livestream and event media. Remote editing, design and campaign planning can support clients anywhere, while on-location filming is scoped to actual crew, travel, equipment, permissions and budget. We bring an independent California newsroom’s storytelling experience to separately commissioned creative projects.
From a short interview or product video to a community forum, public-service campaign or recorded conference, we can discuss a production plan that fits the audience, location, timeline and budget. Assignments are accepted subject to crew availability, technical requirements, permits and written scope. Our network of California community editions is a digital publishing network—not a claim that we maintain production crews or physical studios in every city.
Photo and video production
- Business and nonprofit profiles: interviews, founder stories, workplace photography, community-impact films and customer or participant testimonials with consent.
- Advertising creative: promotional videos, short-form vertical ads, social-media reels, business photography and commercial campaign editing.
- Interviews and documentary projects: filmed conversations, local history, cultural heritage, education, community stories and longer-form nonfiction production.
- Events and conferences: multi-camera event recording where feasible, speakers, panels, lectures, press conferences, opening ceremonies and recap videos.
- Live streaming: event livestream planning, camera and audio coordination, remote guests, captions or recordings when included in the agreed scope.
- Post-production: editing, titles, graphics, captions, sound cleanup, adapted aspect ratios and delivery files for websites, social networks, presentations and archives.
Community events and convenings
We can discuss planning and producing public conversations, moderated panels, conferences, community listening sessions, information forums, screenings, interviews and educational events connected to California life, government services, local business, travel, history, environment and culture. Work can include agenda development, speaker coordination, promotion, documentation and post-event reporting as separately agreed deliverables. Venue contracting, insurance, staffing, security and permissions are not implied to be included.
Public-interest and multilingual communication
Potential projects include emergency-preparedness videos, public-service explainers, community resource guides, civic education, rural-access documentaries, environmental and cultural storytelling, educational video series and plain-language information campaigns. We can discuss multilingual scripts, subtitles, accessibility support and alternate formats when qualified translation or specialist support can be arranged. Accuracy review, translation verification and any agency approvals should be part of the project plan.
California, nationwide and international availability
California58 accepts media-production enquiries from every US state and from international organizations. Remote work such as editing, scriptwriting, subtitles, digital design and post-production can be delivered across borders. On-site assignments in California or outside the state require a confirmed production plan, actual personnel and travel logistics. International filming may also require visas, local permits and appropriate insurance. We do not claim permanent local teams in every market.
Digital marketing, websites and creative partnerships
For clients seeking a wider digital agency relationship, we can discuss WordPress and website work, SEO improvements, marketing content, copywriting, multilingual adaptations, social creative and campaign coordination. Services are scoped and priced separately; qualified specialist partners may be needed. Publishing and sponsored campaigns
Video or photography production does not automatically include publication in our independent news editions. Where appropriate, we may separately quote a clearly labeled paid advertising or sponsored distribution package. Advertisers do not control newsroom reporting, editorial decisions, or the outcome of coverage. Advertising and sponsored videos must be clearly identified as paid content, including when embedded alongside news.
