PALM SPRINGS, Riverside County — October 27, 2026. Downtown Palm Springs is preparing a two-night Halloween block party in its famous Arenas District. The official tourism bureau confirms Halloween Palm Springs on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, with outdoor festivities beginning around 2 p.m. and musical performances running 4–10 p.m. each day.

Who is performing?

The city’s visitor bureau identifies the all-female R&B/funk group KLYMAXX as Saturday’s headline act. The schedule also includes entertainment and dancing on Friday and throughout Saturday. Specific stage times and artist order may change; visitors should review the producer’s final schedule rather than assume the headliner begins at the start of the entertainment window.

Is the party free?

Yes. The public block party does not require a ticket. Organizers ask for a suggested $10 donation to benefit regional organizations including DAP Health, the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Greater Palm Springs Pride and the LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert. A voluntary donation is not mandatory admission.

The organizers also advertise a separate $85 VIP lounge option with amenities not included in ordinary street entry. A free festival and a paid upgrade can coexist, so visitors should not treat the VIP price as the general admission charge.

Halloween costume contest

The tourism bureau says registration for the Saturday, October 31 contest is scheduled 6–7:15 p.m. at the information booth on Arenas Road. Entrants must reach the main-stage line with a wristband by 7:30 p.m., according to the published rules. Visitors should confirm eligibility and categories with organizers before preparing an elaborate costume.

Travel and safety advice

The event is popular with LGBTQ+ residents and visitors, but the public street gathering welcomes anyone who respects the crowd. Expect busy pedestrian areas, limited parking near nightlife venues and a long evening outdoors. If driving from elsewhere in Coachella Valley, arrange a safe ride home, especially after late concerts.
