Historical early results
SOLANO COUNTY, California — November 4, 2026. Countywide voters are giving a No majority to Measure E, a business-tax ballot proposal, according to early returns released after Tuesday’s general election.
Countywide preliminary results
In a November 4 election-results snapshot published by KQED, No had 41,944 votes (61.5%) and Yes had 26,229 (38.4%). The reported No advantage was 15,715 votes. The figures were last updated at 1:18 a.m. Pacific in that results display.
What is being decided
Measure E is listed as a Solano County business-tax measure. It is not a municipal tax measure limited to Fairfield, Vallejo, Vacaville or Suisun City. Voters should consult the full measure text and the county’s impartial analysis for the affected businesses, taxable activities, tax rates and exemptions, rather than assume all businesses would be taxed identically.
What the early lead means
The No side leads the reported countywide ballots. The current margin indicates the status of the election-night count, not certification. Additional vote-by-mail and other valid ballots may remain outstanding. The County Registrar of Voters is responsible for the official canvass and final local result.
This report is assigned to the Solano County newspaper because the question applies to the county as a whole. Individual community editions can link to this report rather than repeat identical vote totals as separate stories.
